Not a silly question at all my friend.. I have many videos where my truck had paddle tires in the mud. IF you have a super fast Motor.. then YES its great.. but with a brushed setup.. they simply dig a hole! Especially if you have a heavy truck. After all my years in the mud with RC.. I can honestly say that the best tire for mud – is anything that has a Wide footprint. Take Pinky for example (my wifes truck) those 2.2 Mashers are air filled. They float across the mud with ease! :~)
