If you’re already familiar with some of the (larger?) chains, try using their web sites. Hobbyland USA and Hobby Lobby are some ideas; sometimes Michael’s and Ben Franklin stores may have some items too.
They won’t all be listed but don’t forget to check the last few pages of a hobby magazine like Model Railroader or Railroad Model Craftsman. They usually list a number of stores in a directory which may be of interest to hobbyists. Maybe some leads there? Good luck in your search!
