You can do it without CNC, it’s just tedious. You have the calculate all the offsets and manually move the tool to the location. Any servo is OK but I used a linear servo because if was alot smaller. You can use the servo board out of a regular servo as an ESC. You just won’t have very good slow speed performance.
How hard is it to make the parts like you did without a cnc?
I am in the process of planning to build one with HK-5320 1.7g servos, and a OrangeRx R415 Receiver (which is spektrum compatible). I also saw onequiknova’s semi which was also posted in scale4x4rc. I am wondering are linear servos better, or the HK-5320.
As I do not have a esc, I will have to use the chassis from the model.
I don’t think you can get one like this anywhere (that’s why I scratch built it).
I do think that Revell once sold one but it had just full left and right and
full forward and reverse. Mine has proportional control on steering and throttle.
If you want to build your own, I will be discussing this more on the tinyrc.com
forum (in the TTTT section).

I’m in the process of building another one. It will be a Peterbuilt but I need to use smaller parts because the Pete doesn’t have as much room.

This truck has a Spectrum AR6300. The next truck will have a 2.4 ghz receive that is 1/2 the size of the AR6300.
